The Cotswold sheep is a robust hearty animal, even-tempered and calm. Ewes birth their lambs relatively easily (as compared to other breeds) and the rams are not so 'rambunctious' as to require the shepherdess to take a stout stick with them every time they go into the paddock. The fibre produced by ewes and rams alike is long, extremely strong, and naturally glossy.
We maintain a closed flock of registered Cotswold ewes, lambs and rams.
We offer raw Cotswold fleeces, washed locks and carded spinner's batts as well as pencil roving in natural shades.
Periodically we also offer yarn, both hand-spun and mill-run in a range of weights and textures. Our latest run is a fine laceweight 2 ply Cotswold yarn available in skeins or on cones.
